About Shelley

Shelley Argent OAM is recognised as one of Australia’s most successful educators, advocates and lobbyists for the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

Shelley was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the General Division (OAM) in the 2006 Australia Day Honours, and in 2011 was named Senior Queenslander of the Year.
